Hello
I am absolutely not going to mention the economy, the price of fuel, the price of groceries or the environment. I could talk about the government but I don’t want to upset any one, so I will stick to what I know best, cars, wish me luck.
You will start to see the new Chinese cars hit the market towards the end of the year with some very competitive prices. |
I will observe them closely with interest, as it is too soon to make judgements on quality and finish until we have actually seen them. I personally believe there are far too many new makes coming into our marketplace, this only creates more buying confusion, and makes it harder to compare apples with apples as they say. It also often results in the consumer solely purchasing on price, with quality coming in second place.
Did you know that Holden has now lost the rights to the name ‘Rodeo’? The name actually belongs to Isuzi and they have told Holden that they want it back after 20 years of using it. Holden has now renamed the new model as the ‘Colorado’. It is now available and it looks great, I look forward to having a drive myself, when I get to deliver one soon, please call me if you are interested.
No surprises here with the top 3 car sellers in Queensland for 2008. In order from highest sales are Toyota Corolla, Mazda 3, and Holden Commodore, all great cars in their own right. Feel free to call us anytime if you are thinking of a new car upgrade, our access to great prices is consistent.
Happy Motoring

Question 15 - an All-Important Question! |
Below is question no. 15 on our frequent questions list on our website.
I am including this particular one in this news as we have noticed an increase in people wanting to sell their cars, with the thought of ‘trading down’ to a smaller car. We are finding their expectations a little high with their car valuations, due to the current motor trade being slow at present and not as many buyers around. We encourage them to sell private, if they can be patient otherwise we can sell it quickly for them.
Q 15 - Can you help me sell my car?
Yes we can, just depends on your circumstances, financial expectations and your time frame.
In most cases, we suggest you will achieve a higher price to sell it yourself privately and we are more than happy to guide you through this process. Refer to our ‘how to sell your car privately – a guide’ on this website.
If this road becomes tiresome, and you do not have the time for the process, we will help you sell your car quickly via our wholesale network. Our aim here is to shop around the buyers and obviously find the highest bidder.
The price we achieve is subject to buyer demand on the day, and can vary considerably dependant on several factors such as age of vehicle, physical & mechanical condition and service history.
A tip here is if you are going to choose this avenue, avoid spending large amounts on the vehicle. Just ensure you maintain the servicing of the car and keep it registered
After we have found you a buyer, we will come and pick up the car from your home or place of work, take it away, then bring you back a cheque, that simple. We will charge you $200 including GST for this service.

Hi There Happy Motorists
Here is a great quote that I read recently (author unknown)
“Drive carefully. It’s not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.” It is a good thing that our cars have so many more safety options to choose from these days. |
We find it is an important part of decision making for many people when they are choosing cars, rightly so especially when you have young children. All new cars have a safety rating these days for you to compare and we can also help you research this feature when you are ready to make your buying decisions. All we need now is an alert to advise us when an idiot driver is approaching; it would drive us to distraction though by constantly going into alarm.
Do you know of anyone that would like to salary sacrifice their way into a new car? It is an effective tax reducing strategy for full-time employees, particularly popular for government workers, teachers, nurses, police etc. We have a business partner that is very experienced in this area if you would like more information please just call. (Please talk to your accountant or financial planner regarding this)
Thank you to you guys that have supported us by way of repeat business and referrals, we are very grateful. Though sometimes we can’t help everyone referred our way, we always aim to give good advice and service.
Happy Days
Sandra
Volunteers Needed Peregian Beach Surf Club
As I am the new volunteer co-ordinator & recruitment officer for our local surf club, it is my job to seek out any person that may be interested in becoming a volunteer surf life saver. It is a fantastic movement to be associated with and huge personal rewards can be gained by participating.
We are also in need of general volunteers to run raffles and work in the sausage sizzle at the Sunday markets, as they say, many hands make light work. Please call me to have a chat we would love to have you on board. Thank you.
