The
size of the text seen on a web page is
mainly a function of three things, however other factors such as "Screen
Refresh Rates" may also be involved.
The three main factors are:
(1) The Font Size set by the site designer.
(2) The "Text Size" adjustment of your own Browser.
(3) The "Screen Area" set for the screen you are using.
If you are not sure of your screen resolution right-click on your Desktop screen, select "Properties", then "Settings". The "Screen Area" value will be indicated in pixels, the larger value is the width, the smaller the height.
Text Size can be adjusted as desired to optimise your viewing comfort and
the viewing conditions relevant your own screen. It can be adjusted right
now, whilst you are reading this. You can be either "on" or
"off-line".
Most
websites are best viewed using the "Medium" setting as this is the Default setting on your Browser and is therefore used by most web programmers to plan the layout of web pages.

Adjusting
Your Browser Text Size |
|
The larger the Text Size setting the more easily read, the smaller the setting the
more "professional" the appearance of the page. Viewing at a
different setting to that intended by the site designer may however distort the layout and appearance of the page.
Italic Font:
If you are using a "CRO" type screen and can see this sample of different sized Italic Text below as a smooth-edged font
your font settings are correctly adjusted.
If the edges are rough, then please click the
"Screen Appearance" link above and make the
relevant simple Font Appearance adjustment.
Sample Italic Text:
"The quick brown fox
jumped over the
lazy dog."
